Even if you are not a fan of music, you have heard the music of the great late Isaac Hayes in some capacity. Hayes has won numerous awards and has received countless accolades throughout his career, and rightly so. Beginning his career with hit albums such as Hot Butter Soul and Black Moses, Hayes quickly established a name for himself, and soared beyond his contemporaries. During the 1970’s, Hayes played an intrical role in composing music for Blaxplotation films such as Shaft, which he won an Academy Award for Best Original song in 1972. I have always been a fan of the depth of his sound and the range of emotions he was able embody in his music. Later in his career, Hayes was the voice for Chef on the Comedy Central animated series South Park. Rolling Stones and The Grammy Awards Hall of Fame named him one of the most influential song writers in the past 50 years for his song Soul Man. As a fan of his music, I am confident that his music will be around for another 50 years. One!
