Quite possibly the most exclusive, elegant and powerful four-door automobile ever built, introducing the Bugatti Galibier. Its name is a historical reference to the Bugatti Type 57 Galibier and the tradition of alpine mountain passes, Col du Galibier. Pictured below, you’ll notice the two part hood opening and multi-functional removable watch. One of the Galibier’s most striking features is undoubtedly its two-tone paint job, which is comprised of both polished aluminum for the doors and front fenders and a unique dark blue carbon fiber weave that shines through when illuminated. Only 50 Galibiers will be produced annually. Price you ask, well over a cool 1 million euros. Glory!

Studded leather jackets and spiked colors are back, thanks to the Metropolitan Museum’s highly publicized “Punk: Chaos to Couture” show, which opens tomorrow in New York City. And while we know that punk constitutes much more than just stapling some metal accouterments onto your shirt and calling it a day, well, we were so inspired by the exhibition’s spinous fashions that we decided to their architectural equivalents. One look at Robert Redford as Jay Gatsby in the 1974 classic The Great Gatsby is enough to know this film is serious about style. Heralded at the time for its elaborate depiction of jazz-age elegance, the film’s detailed wardrobe garnered both an Academy Award and paved the way for a new interest in luxury American style. Ralph Lauren styled all the men in the original movie. His styling brought nostalgic sensibilities to the forefront, creating captivating looks that were relevant to the period, as well as the modern man. Redford appeared as Gatsby on the cover of GQ(pictured), and Lauren began his fast track to fame. This annoyed then-legendary costume designer, Theoni V. Aldredge, to the point that she had Lauren’s name removed from the credits. Aldredge received an Academy Award for her costume designs that year, however, it is Ralph Lauren’s distinct take on 1920’s menswear that is still the highlight of Gatsby. I can’t wait to see the fashion in the remake. Glory!

It’s been a while since there was a song on here. This sounds like something that would be playing at a demon-run massage parlour.
